Rhys Langston Podell '16 is an artist who uses experimental hip hop as a means to fuse his passion for classical, contemporary and outsider literature with his unfiltered musical tastes [think Ralph Ellison and Kurt Vonnegut meet Sun Ra and TV on the Radio]. He tries to produce every instrumental that encompasses his words, so that there is a creative continuity within his often unconscious genre experimentation. Outsiders may deem his style as "artistic A.D.D." or lacking of knowledge "regarding his place", but he is of the opinion that "If it ain't stirring the pot, sh*t's just getting burnt."
He also likes to draw, write words solely for engagement on the page and has plans for something. Definitely something.
